These two woods work great together. The light brown Birch wood with the dark black Wenge wood, great combination. The top and bottom edges have a 45-degree edge, with rubber feet on the bottom to help it from moving on the counter.

To clean use a mild detergent and hand dry. You may need to re-oil and wax every 3-4 months (depending how often it's used).
